The Messiah is returning soon, we all see the signs. Growing up within the religious teachings of the church, I learned to stick strictly to its principles. Within this faith, norms dictated that women refrain from wearing pants, while men avoided dresses. Men were considered the heads of households, and women were seen as nurturing caregivers. The traditional family structure, ordained by the Most High, moral, ethical, and holy lifestyles were respected.

As prophesied, we find ourselves in what many notice as the end times. The words of Matthew 24:6-8,10-11 You will hear of wars and rumors of wars, but see to it that you are not alarmed. Such things must happen, but the end is still to come. Nation will rise against nation and kingdom against kingdom. There will be famines and earthquakes in various places. All these are the beginning of birth pains. 10 At that time many will turn away from the faith and will betray and hate each other, and many false prophets will appear and deceive many people.

The New World Order, cancel culture, and the concept of the mark of the beast frequently mix in discussions surrounding end-time prophecy. Within diverse interpretations of prophetic beliefs, these concepts are seen as either pieces or signs of a period preceding the climax of the world. Spiritual warfare defines the blanket reality of our existence. As we journey through the tribulations of life, our survival depends on steadfast faithfulness to kingdom principles.

A call for action urging individuals to live in harmony with their spiritual selves by offering their entire being as a living sacrifice to the Most High. This involves consciously distancing ourselves from the behaviors and values of the world.  Let us aim to separate from sexual immorality, moral impurities, promiscuity, hatred, and drunkenness. Replace selfish ambitions and the cravings of the flesh with a culture of spiritual virtues such as love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control. Your soul depends upon it.

Our mother passed away when we were young, and I remember getting sick during lunchtime in the first grade; I still can’t drink whole milk as I reminisce. The disconnect became a reality on that day. The physical disconnect became a spiritual reconnect to the Father and the spirit domain. My spiritual senses were awakened. My maternal grandmother took us in; she was a heavy churchgoer in those days (C.O.G.I.C), Church of God in Christ, for those who don’t know.
