Prince of the Power of the Air
Ephesians 2:2 Wherein in time past ye walked according to the course of this world, according to the (prince of the power of the air). The spirit that now worketh in the children of disobedience
I remember the late 1990s; during my weekly visit to my
Grandma’s, I noticed a pattern of TV commercials advertising prescription
drugs. I asked, “What’s up with all
these prescription medication commercials?”
Like always, she responded with a chuckle whenever I asked a question
about one of my conspiracy theories. Two
decades later, after some research on the influx of the TV. Commercials in the
United States, the promotions began in the late 1990s and early 2000s. In 1997, the Food and Drug Administration
(FDA) eased regulations on direct-to-consumer advertising of prescription
drugs. They allowed pharmaceutical
companies to advertise products directly to consumers through various media
channels, including television. However,
it is essential to note prescription medications themselves are not unfavorable
to mental health. Medical doctors are
trained in these fields and should be sought after Matthew
9:12. Contrastingly, medications
can be a double-edged sword with side effects.
It is crucial to be mindful of usage and actively take steps to
prioritize mental well-being in this age; It is how we interact with, use, and
understand them. A holistic approach is
available.
During a non-emergency medical transport, I transported a
woman to her doctor’s visit who carried a bag containing more than twenty
prescription bottles. She stated that
she faithfully took each prescription every day! Regardless of whether a few of her
medications may have been placebos, this is a lot to try and swallow, “no pun
intended.” Is it possible that the
Prince of the Power of the Air influences are more subtle than we know?
Did those commercials during the late 1990s through the
early 2000s lead a few people away from prioritizing health through maintaining
a balanced diet, regular exercise, and emotional well-being to relying on
prescriptions and drugs as a substitute for achieving better health and overall
well-being? Did this shift gradually
result in a widespread acceptance of being overweight, unwell, and tired as the
new normal for some individuals?
There’s an elephant in the room, and its name is Mental
Health and Mental Disorders. I wrestle
with seasonal depression and anxiety. I
understand what it feels like during an episode; a lot is going on in this world,
and it is a heavy load for those of us who care about the well-being of all. The heavily self-medicated individuals who
are unaware of what’s happening concerns me, and It grieves me to see such a
large percentage of the populace in America suffering from mental health
disorders; the grapple is firm in the age of pharmaceutical research, trials,
and addictions, which are significant to the social change of our mental health
climate.
Not to mention the influence of digital gadgets,
smartphones, and wearable tech can also lead to a sense of being constantly “on,”
which can contribute to stress, isolation, and loneliness. A balance between use for benefits while
prioritizing self-care boundaries and off-line activities can help mitigate
some adverse effects on mental well-being.
We have grown dependent on a system that is rapidly
increasing abundantly insane and wicked.
Common sense lives only in those who have it; for some, faith in the
Most High has left the conversation, money has become their God, and for those
not in denial, we sense time is running out.
A declining America has received the slow death of a
thousand needles. The government’s
policies have been infiltrated with the deterioration of moral values and
ethical principles. Broken cultural
structures are commonplace; if one doesn’t know where they come from, they
don’t know who they are, which cannot be wholesome. The earth is sick, and the environment is
crying for a change in pollution policies and consumption patterns. An enemy has done this while men slept. His enemy has come in and sown discord and
chaos.
The Parable of the Weeds: Jesus told them another parable: “The kingdom
of heaven is like a man who sowed good seen in his field. But while everyone was sleeping, his enemy
came and sowed weeds among the wheat and went away. When the wheat sprouted and formed heads,
then the weeds also appeared. “The
owner’s servants came to him and said, ‘Sir, didn’t you sow good seed in your
field? Where did the weeds come from?’ “An enemy did this,’ he replied.” The servants asked him, ‘Do you want us to go
and pull them up?’ “No,’ he answered,
‘because while you are pulling the weeds, you may uproot the wheat with
them. Let both grow together until the
harvest. At that time, I will tell the
harvesters: First collect the weeds and
tie them in bundles to be burned; then gather the wheat and bring it into my
barn.” Matthew
13:24-30.
In 2
Timothy 3:1, Apostle Paul recorded, “This know also, that in the last
days, perilous times shall come,” and in 1Timothy
4:1, Paul says, “Now the Spirit
speaketh expressly, that in the latter times, some shall depart from the faith,
giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils.”
The solutions to our trials, tribulations, and persecutions
are more accessible than we know. Still,
we have lost the connection with the voice of our soul, the opinion of the
intuition, and the guidance of the Holy Spirit.
All these were given to us as a domain for navigating the course of this
life, and in this era, we need them more than ever to overcome the devices of
the Devil and the kingdom of darkness.
The Most High instructed Joshua to show strength and courage
along the journey because he would be with him every step. The Most High told him to meditate on the
words of his book; this is the beginning of wisdom, faith, healing, and
deliverance; prosperity will come as a result.
Observe and do all that is written, and you will have success. “Do not fear what is in front of you; I am
with you everywhere the souls of your feet touch, Joshua
1:3;” and our Messiah declared, “I
watched Satan fall from heaven like [a flash of] lightning. (19) Listen
carefully: I have given you authority [that you now possess] to tread on
serpents and scorpions, and [the ability to exercise authority] over all the
power of the enemy (Satan), and nothing will [in any way] harm you. (20) Nevertheless do not rejoice at this,
that the spirits are subject to you, but rejoice that your names are recorded
in heaven” Luke
10:18-20. In this same way comes
our modern-day deliverance!
